My Creative Space

I am still madly quilting and really enjoying it. I have finished the blocks and nearly done with the hand sewing and onto the binding. I think I may be a little addicted. My hand sewing needs ALOT of practice so I have had to draw marks on my fingernail (that you can see) so that I can try to unify my stitches - high class crafter I know!
More creative spaces over at Kirsty's House o Mystery - just follow the trail of pencil shavings.

Now I've seen it all!! What a hoot! Hey if it works for you, go for it. Your fabrics are so lovely and will really set your perfect stitches off.

I love it - what a blooming good idea. I would steal the idea except I have no finger nails!!!

That is so clever! I'm all for ingenuity in crafting! Don't worry, those perfect stitches you have seen probably cheated too! I remember being bowled over by a perfect design that was evenly hand stitched only to find out it had been done by using a stencil with equal distant holes and dress makers chalk, then you just put you needle where the chalk dot is and ta-dah! Perfect stitching!

Ooooh, Poppy has a big bed now, no more cot! She must have been so excited and meanwhie you are having a mummy moment! I hope Glen gave you big hugs!

Each step like this is a reminder isn't it that they are growing up so quickly? School next year?! It's great that you are getting to spend more time with them now though.

Cohen is fitting into some of his size 1 clothes now and I saw a baby yesterday that was only a few weeks old and it was hard to imagine Cohen had been like that! :)

I'll be looking out for you on the new inventors! you have a very clever mind that doesn't say 'can't', and that's impressive. just don't know how you fit it all in. I must sleep too much!

That is such a simple yet smart idea. Well done. A good reason to avoid a manicure, don't want those marks filed off :)

What a great idea! I have never seen that before. This quilt is going to be stunning. I have plans to make my little girl a quilt when she goes into a big bed. She is a but older than Poppy, but hasn't done the climbing out thing yet. I don't know how long I will have though!

oh my goodness I just loved this..you are so funny and clever! And I can't believe Poppy is already in a big girl bed. I have no doubt my little monkey will soon be out of hers. I hope they enjoy sharing the room! I love their room btw, and I think I spot two of the bear girls in there! xo
