Eye Spy .. The Festive Aftermath

Ok so I thought today was Sunday?! Apparently it already snuck over to Monday so I am a little late for my own date - Sad but true. Santa though is amazingly clever, what's that, guess who got a donut maker - oh yeah - Caleb and here is our aftermath of donuts for breakfast lunch and dinner. Sweet!
I am hoping that Kat's Creations can up with a great theme for next week, the first of 2009?!

Merry Christmas

I have been meaning to get to this post since yesterday. I hope you have all had a great day today with your families. I wish that you all had -

Little fairies to grant you the special wishes
Lots of good things to eat (these chocolate truffles were a special production for Santa's little treat)
A tree full of lights and gifts of love
Some handmade goodies - This is the shirt that I have finally finished sewing for Glen
Enjoyment of the great weather - be it sunny outdoor fun down here or great snowy goodness up north
Lots of over the top Chrissy love
Child-ish enthusiasm for everything
And fun toilet training puppies (ok this one might just be me, thank goodness for the clever person who invented scotch guard)
Hope you all had a FESTIVE SEASON!! CHEERS.

Eye Spy some Bling

I have been contemplating this one all week, I am not really a blingy person, though I do love other peoples fabulous sparkles, then I remembered this collection of glittery fairies by the front door. I have collected them for ages, some are a bit cracked after the numerous moves but I still love them.
Thanks Miss Hoppo Bumpo for being her great shimmery self and I am not sure how many people will be around next week so I thought Eye spy the festive aftermath might be good - doesn't even need words. Hope you all have a great holiday time filled with smiles and dreams.

Sunday Stash

I love the bright robots for some more great boy fabric from my new favourite place Amitie. I really do sew, I do. I hope to have some proof soon.
More stashy goodness at Tamara's.

It's Official - I am Mad

Ready to rock your cuteness meter - oohh, ahh - cute patute. But no you are not seeing double, that is TWO PUPPIES!?! Caleb has named them Hasha Malasha and Lulu. Hasha is built like a brick, the fatest of the litter where Lulu is much more refined and smarter (well she is female after all). They are sleeping in the laundry and exploring the house, including our most annoyed 2 cats. Pop them outside as soon as they wake and most toilet training is under way.
In more, Cindy is crazy news, I have my Mathilda's markets organised for next year, Melbourne in March and November and Sydney in July. Super excited about it, even if the workload is going to be massive. Excellent!!

Who Needs Santa!

I didn't even need to be good and I have pressies, well more giveaways that I have won - woo hoo. I love the kiddies CD from PottyMouthMama, so funny. How gorgeous are the earrings, from Ellieboo's everyone's a winner competition (those are my favourite ones.) I even got to wear them on Friday, after both kids nearly pulled my earlobes off, but so worth it. And not to forget the gorgeous Little Munchkins crayon roll, she is the sewist I hope to be when I grow up. These crayons are fabulous, my littlies love them (much like entrees really) and always end up digesting them! With these like a mechanical pencil Poppy has has a great time drawing with them with me worrying about coloured nappies. The first time I un-rolled it she just sat there saying - oohh.
The ever thoughtful Hoppo Bumpo gave me this sweet roll before the market and I somehow forgot to blog it. It was packed full of market essentials, including chocolate - yummo. I still love it.

PS. Santa if you are listening you are still tops and if you want to put that trip to Japan under my tree I will be so good - ahhumm - next year.

Eye Spy a Burst of Colour

I was lying in bed yesterday morning pondering my eye spy, like you do and then this came launching at me. Exactly 3 more sleeps until Caleb's birthday, 4 years on the planet - woo hoo. So he has been practicing his party blower skills, very important you understand. Here is my fantastic and loud burst of colour, much cuter now than at 6am on a Sunday morning.

Thanks to Flossy-P, she of the fabulous ring, for this weeks fab theme and I am hoping that Miss Hoppo Bumpo, gingerbread architect extraordinaire to think of some eye-spy fabulousness for the week. Gotta go, puppies tomorrow, my dad the next day, 7 marauding 4-year olds the day after. If you need me I will be out back performing magic to the sun gods.

It's not you-you, It's me-me

I saw this over at the crafty and bloggy queen's place and thought I would join in.

1. Were you named after anyone? No Dad wanted Bindie and Mum wanted Cathy so they decided on Cindy. Dad had high hopes for me, I have no middle name - he decided it was just something else I had to learn how to spell.
2. Do you still have your tonsils? Yes and we have been friends for 30 years now
3. Would you bungee jump? Yes in New Zealand, because everyone does there.
4. What is your favorite cereal? Some days are Sultana Bran some days are Coco Pops.
5. Do you untie your shoes when you take them of? I don't own any shoes with laces - go figure?
6. What is your favorite ice cream? Any that I don't have to share with the pigeons, I mean loving children. Perhaps Rocky Road.
7. What is the first thing you notice about people? Smile/ Eye contact
8. What is your least favorite thing about yourself? Hoping that I do a good enough job fitting everything and everyone into the day, Like most mums I think.
9. What's the last thing you ate? Bikkie and cup of tea.
10. What are you listening to right now? TV
11. Last movie you watched? Dumbo, I can't even remember the last time I watched an adult movie, I can't sit still and concentrate for 2 hours. Too much running around to do refer No.8
12. What did you dream about last night? I don't think anything, too tired to even bother with it.
13. What book are you reading? Dr Suess, Dr Suess and you guessed it more Dr Suess, not that that is a bad thing.
14. Summer or winter? Winter I so love a furry coat, just ask Miss Drewzel
15. Do you have any special talents? I can create children that are really stubborn and don't like eating, is that a talent? I can sew OK and my drafting skills are pretty good.

Who is that LIttle Man?

These are the photos we got back from Caleb's childcare when they had a professional photographer in for some fund raising. I don't know who this grown up boy is, but it can't be my beautiful BABY boy. Where do the years go? He has been going so well lately it is a shame that child care is finishing and he is off to a different kinder next year, but I am sure he will do fine.
I have been finalising the last of my orders lately so no real new sewing. I did add this applique to shirt for a Christmas pressie set, I think it looks a little special.

Thanks so much to everyone who entered, I really loved to read all the different things people liked. I am hoping to run a couple more competitions in the new year, once the Cristmas rush is over - it was so much fun. A sincere thanks as well to everyone that reads and comments and lurks.

Eye Spy Something in My Garden

The lovely Miss Curly Pops has come up with a great theme for the week, especially at the official start of summer though in Melbourne it is a little hit and miss. We don't have a huge yard and we rent, Glen use to love his bonsais but children have taken care of that. This is the best thing to spy, children making the most of the yard and having a ball together. As you can see we are always up for a tea party too.

I would love if Flossy-p would pick next week's since she so generously gave us the fab button. I have updated the side bar, if you should be in there please let me know.

Don't forget my giveaway too if you haven't entered.

Sunday Stash on Sat

I am not so big on rules, so I am a day early with my Sunday stash, but that is still better than my usual day late. More boy goodness this week, love this print from Patchwork on Central Park. I think it is going to make some cute boy sets maybe teamed with some denim for the next market, more on that soon.
More fabricy goodness at Tamara's house.

I turned 100 and Didn't even notice.

So have been rambling on here for over 100 posts - who knew, so I thought I had better celebrate all my new friends and great support I have received. I am thinking I will giveaway either a pair of shorts, a girlie cape or skirt up to size 4 to the winner. All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me the favourite sewn thing you have seen here and your in - Easy yes. I will draw it next Tuesday, at 10-ish Melbourne time (lets not make the rules too rigid.) and then we can discuss how you would like the outfit to go.
I am also super excited about Eye Spy and will be updating the side bar tomorrow night. Thanks to everyone who has left comments and kind words or just taken time out from your day to read.

Two Birds with One Stone

I am not so lucky, I have entered a tonne of competitions, not a skerrick. Then I cracked it, I won these super cute birds from Her heart, My hands. Aren't they just Divine? She even made one for each of us one, with bugs on the one for Caleb and hearts for Poppy. I was soooo excited, and I even got the cutest little bloomers too and you know how much I love a bloomer! For Poppy that is, not me. Sophie is the sweetest, with the cutest little girls and cute little clothes too.

I been slack in my Brown owls blogging too. It was the last one for the year last night and I have really enjoyed it and am super grateful to Kirsty and Pip for all their hard work. I made a squirrel tea light the other week, more photos over here including a couple of me stitching a storm. It was also bug and pop owl, I love that sort of thing. I also won barrel draw and got a Kirsty special ring and again last night I won a cute Melly and Me pattern. The flood gates have open people, I am off to buy a lottery ticket, if you need me Santa and I will be holidaying in Japan, while the reindeer carrying all my fabric purchases.

Sunday Stash

I have been keeping my eye out for some great boy fabric, so you might see a bit over the next month. I or should I say we hit Amitie on Saturday for the first time, oohh, it was good, even if my kids were running around like a full moon and red cordial combo. I pondered if this one was boyish enough, but I do love it - Cosmo ROCK! More Stashy goodness at Tamara's house.

Eye Spy ... What I want for Christmas

I am so glad so many people are joining in - I am so excited! And you have to check out the button Flossy-P has made, it is worth joining in just to get that little gem on your blog. For all the technical stuff you can go see her. For future reference though, I think I should only pick topics I have good answers for, I did the same thing with This is, anyway back to topic.
I have no idea what I want for Chrissy so I have gone with the Potty Mama approach (no that is not my formal photo below, dare you to show us yours) and aim big. So don't sweat the small stuff, I have been good this year Santa so I think a holiday would be great. I think it has been 6 years since my last trip and I would love to crack the northern hemisphere. I am thinking a trip to Japan to come back with bolts of gorgeous fabric, (Can I call that a business trip) and stop over in Cali for a great tattoo from Tim Hendricks (sorry Dad I know you read it).

In actual fact a kiss from my beautiful babies, and a nice day with the family will do just fine too.
Next week's Eye spy I would be honoured if Miss Curly Pop's would give us her suggestion, the first one to say she would love to play and the first one to post this morning. Remember to sign up, just comment anywhere, I will find it.
