Spring Rain

I love these pics of the littlies enjoying a bit of spring rain yesterday. I love the fascination in rain from the under 3 footers!

I also went back to Spotlight yesterday, after a failed attempt the day before where we didn't make it to the registers. Caleb was channeling Confucius. He can sometimes be a bit of a "close talker" so we talk a lot about personal space. One lady pushed past me and nearly took his head off, "Hey you, get out of my space! Did you know Mummy that lady does understand manners either and she is big." How do you respond to that one?
Then we were waiting to pay and Caleb, well, is at ummh bottom height. At the top of his voice, another declaration "Mummy that wasn't my bottom, who needs to say pardon me!" I presume it was the poor red faced lady behind me. We hit the MM's gum ball machine on the way out, with his robot stickers in tow, a great outing if your 3 I guess.
So here is the latest addition to my stash, cute butterflies for summer. My local Spottie is closing at the end of the month (should I share the location, or is it like PottyMouthMama's bin), so they are having some good discounts with more towards the end of the month. I love this one, even though it is a bit of an unusual choice.

The rain photos are so cute...
I say good on you Caleb for speaking your mind (she should have said pardon me)!

The under 3 foot set look happy in the rain. I love those photos when the asphault sparkles from the rains bounty!

oh shopping with the littles can be quite and experience :) I love the fact your young man speaks so frankly. The butterfly fabric will be perfect for the warmer season sewing.

I love Caleb's observations in Spotlight - you are clearly bringing him up with beautiful manners. Its a pity the people around him were so bad mannered. Good on him! Now if you want something truly mortifying, imagine your 3-year-old running up to an elderly lady in Spotlight and saying "I'm going to use The Force on you". Too much Star Wars perhaps? (Mr HB has a lot to answer for).

The butterfly fabric is lovely. What a gorgeous blue.

Now unlike PMM's bin ... I think I can guess where your Spottie is .... and I'll be headed straight over!!

Really cute photos. Love Caleb's t-shirt - so cute. I love the look of them playing together - look at how Poppy looks adoringly at her big brother. SO sweet.

Great fabric. Keep the location a secret. Until an hour before closing time. Hee hee.

As for 'from the mouths of babes' - do you go through mistaken genders? Noah is identifying people as men, when they are a little more masculine looking women.. Totally humiliating. I just pretend I don't hear.

I love those happy photos. And those stories are too funny. Kids and their honesty - you have to love it really.
