It seems mum and son both love the author-illustrator. A hip hip to PottyMouthMama for this weeks this is.. theme and a hooray for our gracious host Three Buttons.
Also my latest boy pants, Chuga Chuga Choo Choo embroidered on the bottom and some great Japanese train material, a bit more reserved than yesterdays. Sorry for the picture quality, my model wasn't co-operating today and neither was the weather.

Hey - firstly, those pants are wonderful. My son is the world's biggest train fanatic and would love to see these, I'll have to show him later.
Love Hairy Maclary - nothing beats that rhythm and rhyme, Zackary Quack is my latest favourite!
And as for Pixie Harris - I have to agree, my grandparents always called me Pixie, and I always found those fairies completely enchanting! I can't believe they're out of print. So sad!
You can't beat Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy!
The train pants are sensational; especially with the embroidery.
Cute trousers!
My nephew loved Hairy Maclairy when he was little...it's so cute.
Cool train pants..perfect for a little man on the move!
I'm currently reading Hairy Maclary to my little one. I'm not sure if she's old enough to enjoy it, but I certainly do!
Oooh I LOVE those train pants. Just gorgeous!!! And I'm totally with your son on the Hairy Maclary books. Love the stories, and their lilting rhythm. And I also LOVE the names of the dogs :)
Choochoocute!!
Thanks for the funny comment on my blog, think me and Sudafed will come to Brown Owls tonight, just to see you! xx steph
Cute pants!
I am a cat person so Slinky Malinky is my favourite Lynley Dodd character. Even Scarface Claw has a soft spot in my heart.
gorgeous pants...unique boys clothes are hard to find hey!
It's funny, two kids and we've somehow missed the Hairy thing altogether, perhaps because I didn't know them as a child?
Thanks for the invite tip - seeds are a great idea!
yes, those amazing memories! maybe that is what our minds are supposed to be like too. i feel like my brain has decayed significantly since giving birth -- you can't deny those simple, repetitive stories have an added benefit of being exhausted-parent-friendly too!
i agree with potty mouth mama -- zackary quack rocks!
also, you left me a comment about the masked bear. i'd be happy to take you photos of different picture combinations if you'd like to see what looks best.
take care and have a lovely day!
hey cindy
great to meet you last night also!

Oh, wow...my mom read Hairy Maclary to me when I was wee, and I be that, if pressed, I could STILL remember most of the words...good choice, for sure!
