Hair Today, Gone tomorrow

So I guess this counts as craft, it involved scissors and some amount of creativity. So you may remember that I had a shot at cutting the fringe of my innocent prodigy, well it was going from cute surfy to Billy Ray. So instead of getting him a pair of cowboy boots to go with his Achy Breaky Heart I graduated to the all over trim. He is also sporting the Freddo he got as reward, they are the big thing in Paris this year, don't you know darlings. Thank god he has a bit of curl in there, hides all sorts of sins. I even got a trim too, he wasn't going to trust those scissors unless he had a go at mine first.
I also have to say a great big heart felt thanks to everyone that had such lovely things to say in the post. It really, REALLY means a lot to me.

It looks like you did much better than my mom. When I was young, she would scotch tape my fringe to my forehead. Then she would use the top edge of the scotch tape to cut a perfectly straight line across the front. The idea was that most of the hair stuck to the tape, the line was straight and there was very little cleanup.

I still wonder if that's why I've got the world's thinnest eyebrows. They were effectively waxed clean with scotch tape. =)

Well done - I have been putting off cutting my little uns hair since, well, forever. But now it is getting in her eyes and I cant decide what to do - Im dreading getting the scissors out but am feeling I may just have to soon.

Another great skill to add to your repertoire! It looks pretty perfect to me.
I have to confess to cutting my own fringe when I can't be bothered going to the hairdresser.

you did a great job! I wouldn't trust myself to cut my little one's hair.

I cut Mr Ss hair all the time, with scissors and clippers to save money. I figured if I stuffed it up it would grow back! One time I started at the bottom of his neck with the clippers but forgot to put the comb thing on first. Lets just say he had a higher hair line around the neck til it grew back. The fact that I was laughing when I did it didn't go down very well...

Very nice haircut. And a very brave mum, having a reciprocal trim, I would say!!

I wish I could cut my boys hair, but it grows so oddly I would make a mess. Both have double crowns and until recently Argy sported a hairline Bart Simpsons and Bargy had one like Felix the cat.
