Last weeks scraps for the Doll Quilt Swap are slowly emerging, using this tut that was originally done in felt with glue.
The last ice cream dress is slowly taking shape, with the fat quarter being stretched as far as possible, fingers crossed the end result looks ok.
I spied this fabric on Flickr and while I haven’t bought much at all lately - had to buy some of this for a spring dress - not sure why I love it so but I do. I really can’t wait to get into some warmer weather sewing for me which is just as well as I was in the shops last week (it doesn’t happen often) and there is no convincing me that 80’s fashion is back people!
More creative peeps at Kirst’s – the creative goddess herself, she is even making herself some clouds.

Love the fabric flower you've made, it looks great.I too am not an 80s fan whaen it comes to fashion, been there, done that.. but my 12year old daughter dresses just like I use to!!
I'm so with you on the 80's fashion! I didn't like it the first time around when I was being dressed in it, and I sure as hell am not going to dress myself in it now! Eek!!
Love the fabric and the ice cream social. You are a busy girl aren't you Cindy?!
:)

Wow, the brooch turned out wonderfully well!
That flower looks just terrific! Well done.
I can see in some bizarre way that that fabric is cool. Don't know if I would use it for anything or even buy it myself but it does have some appeal! lol
The flower is lovely, and I do like the 80s styles =D
Yup...I'm finding the 80s thing a little hard to take. x
i love the bicycle fabric! how sweet, and your corsage is beautiful
love the flower just so fab
Damn you do FABULOUS scraps, Mrs. Mine hang about in random plastic bags.
That witchy fabric is awesome.
You know what I can't cope with? It's Vintage Shops selling genuine 80s fashion as valued items! Why!? The stuff is SO ugly and.. and.. and.. blurgh, you wouldn't believe people would pay top dollar for them.
I love the whole ensemble! The fabric rocks.
Who is the fabric designer, again? I can't remember.
I used the fabric with the fish at one time, as well, as the banana seat bikes and gnomes with toad stools. Not sure they even make it anymore. Who knows
Great post.
Ohhh I love that witchy poo fabric too!
Hehee I'm with you on the '80s fashion thing Cindy. It looked bad on me then, it looks hideous now!
