The kids are loving music at the moment to the point where they will sit in the car and sing songs in the driveway. We were driving around and Glen's Bob Marley CD came on to give Justine Clarke a rest. "Who is that" asked Caleb. "That's your Uncle Bob" Glen told him. Glen and I are both only children so Caleb was super excited at the thought of having an Uncle. The next day Caleb said to me - My Uncle Bob sleeps in trees and eats grass. So funny because perhaps a little bit true.

Hooray for Uncle Bob - the one who ... ahem ... likes grass so much. Very funny!
Thats so funny. I have a friend who loves Bob Marley and his kids call him Uncle Bob too.
>.< lol yeah kinda true :p
Oh I love that. Uncle Bob rocks and I love this tale. I love how children have this sense of breaking it down and coming up with something so spot on...xxx
Oh dear, kids say the funniest things! I'm pretty sure Uncle Bob ate a fair bit of grass in his time and even slept in a tree or two :)
Hilarious. I don't know how kid's can get it so right. It can't all be by accident!
how cool & spot on is that calieb! great story. here is my fav songs for the kids along those lines:
Puff the magic Dragon by Peter paul & mary
Leaving on a Jet Plane by see above
Yellow Submarine by Beatles
Lots of other Beatles songs r v appealling to wee ones.
Ground Control 2 Major Tom by Bowie
Puff defo gets the most mileage its a winner xx
bwahahaha! I heard Uncle Bob likes grass too.
We find The Specials are the number one singing/dancing hit here.
You know I'll be calling him Uncle Bob from now on, don't you :)
*snork* Kids can be pretty darn perceptive, huh? lol
The White Stripes have some pretty good songs that gets the kids moving. Try Hotel Yorba, or We Are Going To Be Friends. Okay, that last one isn't necessarily one for moving, but it's SWEET! :p
LOL!
The great thing about Bob Marley though is that EVERYONE can appreciate him...well, mostly everyone.lol
I know other little children who went through an Uncle Bob stage too. There must be something about his reggae beats that kids naturally resonate with!
hehehhe, makes me giggle thinking about kids in tie-dyed berets bobbing around, teehee.
