Eye Spy ... Something I want to try in 2009

Isn't there some saying about time being a mistress or something like that - perhaps not, anyway if it is then mine is the Jerry Springer type "Yer bin sleeping wif me cuzzin" type. I don't seem to have enough time to get everything done and when I do it always seems to take longer than I had hoped. Enough self-pity, but I am sorry I am so late and how did it get to be the middle of January already. This week's great theme from Red Chocolate is superb.

I would really love to try and learn to crochet or knit. These great pics are from here. So funny. When I was pregnant I had the urge to knit and did so VERY badly, I had dreams of a patchwork type knitted blanket, I couldn't even manage a couple inch square, so it is more challenging for me that it sounds.

I am hoping that Anastasia C can help us out for next week, can't wait to see what's next and hope to be on time next week - sheesh.

Well I certainly hope you are going to start out with some gorgeous lacework dog vests. No point starting with the basics.

I find knitting and crochet very theraputic and relaxing.

Are you a Melbourne Brown Owl. I'll be going this year and I'm sure there's lots of other crafty ladies that can give you a hand.

Hey, when our smalls have their playdate, bring a hook. I can defintiely teach you how make a granny square (then later someone at Brown Owls can help undo all the bad practices I have taught you!)

That japanese book is killing me. so cute.
Have you tried crochet yet? I tried to teach my dear friend how to knit and she had such a hard time. But crochet was a different story. She picked it up in about an hour. Wish you were near by!

Great pics! What well behaved pups they must be not to rip their little scarves to shreds! I have learned to knit a billion times, and I can knit a square. But that's about it! My work colleagues when I had Caleb each knitted a square and they crocheted it together to make him a blanket. It turned out really cute.

Goal for 2009...humiliate your dog?? :p

(It's a good thing we don't live in a really cold, snowy area....our pug would need a jacket and booties, and I am not sure who would hate them more..dh or the pug! :p )

Do you think those dogs feel really ridiculous wearing those creations?

I to would just love to knit, it looks so beautiful and there are tonnes of things I would like to mkae for myself but, like you, I just dont have the time!

Sheesh, I thought you were going to start whizzing up some outfits for the puppies.. I was thinking, jeepers Cindy needs a new hobby!

But knitting and crocheting is just the ticket - bet you'll do well, can't wait to see what comes of your wizardry. x

Hilarious! I'm with you - I also had the urge to knit when I was pregnant - I finished a scarf (which I was actually pretty proud of) but have not picked up needles since. I'm finding sewing way easier and more forgiving!! Good luck :P

If you do, you gotta knit my pomeranian one of those hat scarfy things...he'd look just like the dog in the photo! Too cute (but a little disturbing).
