I laid out my planned quilt for Caleb and then made the mistake of asking Glen for an opinion and now I can’t decide. The dinos were going to be appliquéd on but now thinking an embroidered outline might be better and then once dino fascination passes the outline can be unpicked? What do you reckon, I want to bring in some red?

Embroidery with option 2!
Hmmm...Just thinking- even if when the dinosaur fascination has passed, is he likely to let you unpick his quilt? Regardless, embroidery would look great, and I like option 2 too!
Perhaps some hand-quilted red lines along the strips?
Me too! My oar is the embroidery with option 2.
(and I always think twice before I ask for a Mr opinion).
I'm not qualified to give a proper opinion but I'm not convinced you EVER grow out of dinosaurs. I still think they're awesome.
I love option2 with the appliqued dinosaurs. You could embroider a few as well or some cycads even. Whatever you decide he will be a very lucky lad!
I really like picture 2, I love the stripes, looks really sophisticated. I think i would opt for embroidery too.
I'm thinking Option 2 with applique.
Although your embroidery is rather lovely!!
