My Creative Space and Meet Dave

I managed to get the next baby quilt finished this week and I wasn't too sure about it as I went along but I am really happy with how it turned out in the end. I did a little tag with his name and date of birth on it as well. All my friends seem to be making gorgeous little bundles at the moment and I really wish that they would stop, cluck cluck anyone. I am hoping I can get started on Caleb's quilt this week, finger's crossed and perhaps some summer sewing too.
More creative spaces at running shoe manor, Kirsty's place.
I managed to get some photos of Dave our shy girl guinea pig as well. The have been doing really well and were getting quite settled though the hail storm on Tuesday has sent them a bit scatty again. I managed to bring them in just after it started but it was still really loud. Dave was picked solely on the merit of having an orange bottom and tail, the 4-year old boy is not the most discerning of creatures.

I love a simple patchwork quilt - classic and elegant and oh so snuggly!

Your quilt is gorgeous and what a great idea to add a tag with the baby's name and birthdate.

And nice to meet boy/girl Dave.

PS. I don't think the cluck-clucks will ever go away!

The little personalised tag is a great idea. Another gorgeous quilt. *sigh* I'm so jealous of all you clever ladies with your stitching skills.

Quilt looks great. Dave's pretty cute too. We're a guinea pig household. They're such funny things! Ours are HUGE because they've been living in the kitchen over winter.

Well I'd say having an orange butt sets you apart from a crowd under any circumstance! As good a reason as any to be adopted ;) hehehehe

p.s. thanks so much for your nice comment this week about our invites!!!!

wait till you see what I'm about to post - it's like SNAP!

love your quilt and the twill name tape is a really sweet idea.

I've just started putting Matilda's hair in piggy's and there is no 'baby' left in her face, she's all 'girl' - feeling awfully clucky, but I just can't bring myself to say 4 kids and 40 years old out loud, so I guess that should tell me something!

Love the quilt and the little name tag. And Dave - he is lovely. Your house is crazier than ours and I really didn't think that was possible! Our Mad-Molly puppy is just insane. I guess she matches the insane cat...
